Unique Details
All my bags have individually designed details using many different techniques. I first choose the matching materials for the bag and then decide on my colours and techniqes for the decoration and create my design. No two bag decorations are completely the same. Colour co-ordination is of huge importance to my design and I take great inspiration from my many collected fabrics/trims and threads that I have available, spending time matching them all together.
Vintage Design
I take a lot of inspiration from vintage clothing and bags. Not just the shapes but the details. I particularly love the 1930’s/40’s and I enjoy merging together the ideas and inspiration of my fabrics and techniques with the style and craft of a bygone era.
Vintage Fabrics
Some of the fabrics and trims I use are ‘vintage’, that is to say, over 25 years old. Also the trims e.g.ribbons and buttons. My collection of fabrics, trims, threads and buttons started 40 plus years ago and I also rummage around charity shops for new OLD finds!!
Personal Touch
All my bags come with my personal label and hand sewn attached bee charm. You will also receive a hand-written details of the story behind your bag ( the fabric details and the inspiration attached to it).
